Who Are We?

Matt has always enjoyed raising livestock which is pretty handy when you're Chair of Tooraweenah Prime Lamb Marketing Coop.  Matt and wife Bek live at "Oakleigh" Tooraweenah.  Matt and Bek began custom feedlotting lambs in between 10-12 weeks.  Matt meets with the other Directors every month to discuss markets.  "We continue to work with others in the industry to ensure we are up to date with the latest developments in stock husbandry and health, which helps ensure our product is the best available.  We don't just hand our  livestock over to anyone.   We maintain control of quality and traceability right from the farm gate onto the customer". 

Jenny has extensive knowledge of sheep production, which extends to the sheep industry supply chain. She is the co-owner/operator for a mixed farming business in the central west NSW, focused on prime lamb and wool production, which also includes a seedstock breeding operation that is part of Sheep Genetics (LAMBPLAN).

Jenny’s philosophy includes embracing science and technology to deliver positive production outcomes throughout the supply chain from breeding through to slaughter. She also contributes her passion for this facete of the industry through her involvement in various boards and committees.

 Will Lambell from “Weenya” Gulargambone NSW breeds up to 1500 merino lambs and 800 XB lambs a year.  Will and his family have been operating their family property for multiple generations, producing top quality sheep, cattle, crops and, of course, lamb! 

The care and attention Will and his family give to their livestock makes for some of the tastiest meat.

Will and his family have been a part of Tooraweenah Prime Lamb Cooperative since 1998 and Will has recently been appointed as a director. 

Harry is from Binnaway NSW, where he operates “Cuttabaloo” a second-generation family property alongside his family. The mixed farming operation consists of sheep, cattle and cropping enterprises. Prior to returning to the family property, Harry completed a ‘Bachelor in Farm Business Management’ at Marcus Oldham College in Geelong and spent some time working in South Australia on large prime lamb operation with an 8000 head lamb feedlot. This valuable experience has allowed Harry to bring some new ideas back to the family farm.

Harry’s father has been a member of TPLMC for over 25 years and has seen the benefits of a co-op first hand. Harry hopes to bring fresh ideas to the co-op to ensure it is around for another 25 years; successfully expanding whilst continuing to provide more to its valued members.

 Michael is a sixth-generation farmer and earned his Business Stock and Station Real Estate License from the University of Western Sydney in 1975. He took over his first property in 1975 and worked with Corcoran & Co (1983-1993), where he established their Guyra branch. He later opened businesses in Dorrigo, Armidale, and Tamworth (1993-2011), selling his stock and station agency in Guyra and Armidale to establish Ray White businesses in Dorrigo and Bellingen and Professionals Tamworth (now Tamworth Property Co). Michael is the Director and Owner of Remur Property Development and Guyra Fuels (2007-present). He was a partner and owner of Corambie Farming in Narromine, managing 15,000 acres and cattle feedlots, before selling in 2021. Michael now owns a large property portfolio in Guyra, primarily focused on cattle and prime lambs. A former Chairman of Can-Assist NSW (2014-2024), he was awarded Honorary Life Membership and has won numerous sports awards, including Sportsman of the Year. 

James is Livestock Specialist for Tooraweenah Prime Livestock.  James connects our Members with the best possible markets, livestock buying opportunities, and other valuable industry insights.

James hails from a sheep and cattle property at Guyra in the Northern Tablelands, focusing on producing 2nd cross lambs, flock Dorset rams, and Angus cattle.

James’ career includes working for a cattle artificial breeding company, specialising in genetics with Artificial Insemination and embryo transfer.  

James spent a few years working for a livestock agency in the New England before moving to Rockhampton where he worked for Landmark.  James spent three years with Landmark in commercial livestock and a further three years in stud stock covering the Central & North Queensland areas.

James has spent the last three years based out of Mackay working for Nutrien where he was specialising in Commercial and stud stock.

James has extensive marketing skills across a range of sheep and cattle marketing options and platforms.  Throughout his career, James has built expertise in marketing and presenting stock for livestock sales, Auctioneering, and Auctions Plus assessments and sales.
